This is my first recording using my electric double bass, which I use on all the tracks except Flenderman (where I use my fretless 6-string Mayones Caledonius strung with flatwounds) and Bear Play (which is my Carillion fretless with roundwounds). All plugged straight into my Focusrite interface. The download-only bonus track Phloink is with my new Carillion fretted 4-string and At Least is also on my flatwound-strung Mayones.
John Bailey (of Utopia) asked me whether I'd be interested/able to add bass to this project that he was putting together, so he sent me the music and then I recorded this in 5 days and it was released at the end of the week! The week before I had no idea I'd be releasing an EP a week later!
I also transcribed all my parts, and the 'Ugh...' transcription digibook is available in my store. The first half of the book has the transcriptions of the tracks in both tablature and standard notation and the second half of the book has the songs written again, but only in standard notation. It also includes bass-only Guitar Pro files for the tracks. You can get it from my webstore:
